Starlink Satellite Internet Connectivity

Excel Communications are now able to supply Starlink Satellite Internet Connectivity to our valued customers.

Elon Musk and SpaceX’s pioneering satellite internet solution, Starlink, is revolutionising the way people in the UK (and around the world) connect to the internet. Starlink’s innovative technology and unique benefits make it a compelling alternative to traditional broadband services, which are essential in today’s hyperconnected world.

Users of Starlink can expect download speeds up to 220 Mbps and latency of 20 ms in most places, with typical upload speeds of up to 25 Mbps. It allows you to communicate in video conferencing, video streaming, online games, and other high-speed data that was previously impossible via Satellite Internet.

Starlink for Business & Enterprise

Starlink provides high speed, broadband internet using a simple, scalable hardware platform that can be easily distributed across locations around the world. Unbounded by local infrastructure and designed to support multiple paths back to the internet, Starlink provides reliable service to ensure your business can keep doing what it does best.

Starlink currently provides services to tens of thousands of business locations and serves customers in a multitude of capacities, including primary enterprise connectivity, replacement of 4G and VSAT, backup, interim setup and emergency service.

Across its network, Starlink maintains greater than 99.5% uptime across all customers – and higher for unobstructed installations. Uptime is measured without mitigating factors like weather and wire-cut outages.

Satellite Technology

Starlink is the world’s first and largest satellite constellation that uses low Earth orbit to provide broadband internet capable of streaming, online gaming, video calls and other applications.

Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency internet to users around the world by leveraging advanced satellites and user hardware, as well as their extensive experience with both spacecraft and on-orbit operations.

Connect employees across sites, monitor IoT devices and backup your network, even in the most remote locations across the globe.

Accessories

X-Frame Base

The Standard X-frame Base is designed to support a ground level installation or a quick setup. Crafted from durable, weather-resistant materials, the mount ensures a sturdy and enduring foundation for your Starlink, capable of withstanding various environmental conditions.

Ridgeline Mount

The Ridgeline Mount requires no drilling and is designed to sit on the top ridge of a gable roof. Held in place by ballast weights, the mount is ideal when you are unable or unwilling to drill holes in a roof. The mount works great with metal and shingled roofs with slopes less than 45 degrees, but is not recommended for clay tile roofs.

Router Mount

The Router Mount is designed to mount the Gen 3 Router directly to a wall or other surface. It is ideal for home or office use when no desk space is available, or for mobility applications where space efficiency is paramount. Once the Router Mount is installed, the Gen 3 Router is easily snapped into place and cable retention ensures the cables are not accidentally pulled out.

Mobility Mount

The Mobility Mount is designed to create a waterproof seal and protect against water ingress when permanently mounting to wood, fiberglass, metal, plastic and slotted rails on vehicle racks. The Mobility Mount features stainless steel fasteners, which are corrosion resistant to support harsh environments. This durable and versatile mount also supports an 8-degree mounting angle to maintain a signal during extreme and wet weather conditions.

45M Starlink Cable

The 45 m (147 ft) Starlink Cable is designed to replace the cable between the Starlink and the Power Supply when additional length is needed.

Pivot Mount

Ideal for installation on slanted, shingled roofs. The Pivot Mount swivelling mechanism enables effortless fine-tuning, adapting to various angles and directions, thus maximizing the performance of your Starlink.

Wall Mount

Designed for installation on an exterior wall near the top of the gable or fascia. This wall mount can accommodate a 4” overhang maximum and offers a secure, long-reaching platform to optimize the placement of your Starlink for the best connectivity and performance.

Pipe Adapter

The Starlink Standard Pipe Adapter is designed to attach to any existing pole with a minimum diameter of 31 mm (1.25 in) and a maximum diameter of 63.5 mm (2.5 in). This adaptable and sturdy mount allows seamless installation onto a variety of pole sizes, offering flexibility and ease in positioning your Starlink for optimal performance.

Gen 3 Mesh Router

The Gen 3 Router introduces WiFi 6 and tri-band radios to Starlink. With improved range, performance, and device support, the Starlink Gen 3 router will extend your WiFi network throughout your home to provide a more consistent and reliable connection with faster speeds.

Masonry Routing Kit

Designed for drilling through masonry, concrete or hard coat stucco (excluding EIFS) walls. Best for customers with prior internet cable routing experience and installation; must be comfortable drilling through walls. Kit includes a 3/4″ (1.9 cm) spade bit, drill bits, cable routing tool, silicone sealant, grommets, and wall clips.

Cable Routing Kit

Designed for drilling through most walls. Not recommended for masonry, concrete, or hard coat stucco. Best for customers with prior internet cable routing experience and installation; must be comfortable drilling through walls. Kit includes a 3/4″ (1.9 cm) spade bit, drill bit, cable routing tool, silicone sealant, grommets, and wall clips.

Keep Your Business Running

Starlink’s constellation provides a resilient connection uncorrelated with terrestrial outages. Path redundancy through multiple satellites and ground stations ensures minimal disruption. Remotely monitor and manage multiple Starlinks from a single dashboard.
